Wellington High School Students Visit Studio Pacific: A Day of Learning and Inspiration

We were delighted to welcome 30 enthusiastic students from Wellington High School to our Te Whanganui-a-Tara studio last week. The visit aimed to provide the students with an immersive experience and a deeper understanding of what a career in architecture and design looks like.

The day began with a warm welcome and an introduction to our studio’s core values and mission. Our team spoke about our focus on co-design and sustainability, emphasising how these principles are integrated into every project we undertake. The students learned about the importance of collaborating with communities and stakeholders to create spaces that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible and culturally significant.

Throughout the visit, our architects and designers shared their personal journeys and professional experiences, offering valuable insights into the diverse career paths within the industry. The students were particularly interested in hearing about the challenges and rewards of working in architecture, as well as the innovative approaches our team uses to address complex design problems.

The visit also included a tour of our Wellington studio, giving the students a behind-the-scenes look at our working environment. They observed our team in action, witnessing the collaborative and dynamic atmosphere that drives our projects forward.

At Studio Pacific, we believe in nurturing the next generation of architects and designers. Engaging with young minds and providing them with opportunities to explore their potential is an integral part of our commitment to education and community involvement.

Ngā mihi ki a koutou to the students for coming to visit us. Your enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring, and we were thrilled to share our passion for architecture with you. We hope that this experience has sparked an interest in the field and that we will see some of you pursuing careers in architecture and design in the future.

Thank you once again to Wellington High School for this wonderful opportunity. We look forward to many more such interactions and to supporting the growth and development of future industry professionals.
