Sophie Steele Celebrates 15 Years at Studio Pacific

This June, we celebrate Sophie Steele – an Associate and registered architect whose commitment, adaptability, and generosity have made her an integral part of the studio for the last 15 years.

Sophie joined Studio Pacific in 2011 as a senior architectural graduate. She became a registered architect in 2015 and was appointed Associate in 2021. Over the past 15 years, she has worked across a diverse range of projects, including the Wellington Airways Control Tower, MOTAT, One Market Lane, Tākina, Weir House, and more recently on Te Manawataki o Te Papa and Parliament projects.

Known for her dependable and structured approach, Sophie brings clarity and confidence to the projects she works on. Highly organised and technically thorough, she has a strong ability to set projects up well, manage complex deliverables, and build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and fellow kaimahi.

Alongside her project work, Sophie is recognised for her leadership in accessibility and universal design. By sharing her knowledge across the studio, she supports more inclusive outcomes and strengthens our collective understanding. She has also contributed to the development of studio processes and wider initiatives, including Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and supporting Business Services mahi.

We’re grateful for Sophie’s commitment, care, and many contributions to Studio Pacific over the past 15 years.

Ngā mihi nui, and congratulations, Sophie.
